I was a bit skeptical, to be honest. I really did not think spending this much money on a pillow was a good idea, but let me tell you, it was. I’m pregnant, and up till now, I’ve been having hip/back pain to the point where I’m limping in the mornings. It’s been 5 nights since I started sleeping with this pillow and I woke up this morning with NO pain what so ever. This pillow is a dream pillow, and I really feel bad for anyone, pregnant or not, who does not sleep with this pillow. I can’t imagine sleeping with out it now. I will probably won’t take it apart to use as a nursing pillow when my child is born because I don’t ever want to sleep without it again.

The con: I’m tall. I’m 5’9 and my feet do not reach the end of the pillow. I like my feet supported when I’m side lying. So when I have a pillow like this that I sleep with underneath my legs, hips, belly, etc., I like it to go all the way down to my feet. It doesn’t. It’s fine if my knees are bent, but I sometimes like to stretch my legs all the way out, and then my feet hang off. I have had other pregnancy pillows in the past and they were all the same way. The good thing about this company (Moonlight Slumber) is that they make custom size pillows. I didn’t realize that until after I ordered it. But, I suggest you go to their website and look at more information about the pillow, and if you also are tall and want your feet supported, spend a few extra bucks and get a custom sized pillow.

This pillow is worth every penny. I have slept soundly and pain free for 5 nights, and there is no price tag one can put on that. I have no regrets.

I usually would use this pillow on my left side with my back against one side, my head on the curved part, and my arm and right leg over the other side. It was very helpful in providing back support and giving me something to lean on in front, and since I’m normally a back or stomach sleeper, that support was wonderful.

I found the total body support of this u-shaped maternity pillow to be much more beneficial than the one-sided regular body pillow that I had borrowed from a friend during a previous pregnancy.

I did not use it every night. I only used it on the nights I had trouble sleeping. That way my husband still had his normal amount of space in the bed. On the nights I did use it, there was still enough room for the pillow and both of us, and we have a queen size bed.

I also used it as what I call a “back massage positioner.” I put the two sides of the pillow very close together and left an open place near the top U-shape. I would put my belly there in that hole and then lay my head on a regular pillow above the body pillow. This allowed me to be “on my stomach” and receive a back massage from my husband.

My 2.5 year old son also loved this pillow. He called it our “nest” when he would come snuggle in it with me in the morning.

When the pillowcase is on all 3 pieces, forming the body pillow, I could not tell that there were actually 3 pieces inside. It felt like one continuous pillow.

I have not used it as a nursing pillow or youth bolsters. What great versatility, though!

I am 7 months pregnant and began feeling the effects of sleep deprivation about this time. I had been using about 8 different pillows to try to get comfortable at night but with all the tossing and turning you do when you’re getting bigger, the pillows would scatter everywhere! It became an issue because I just could never get comfortable.
My husband is a “researcher” and spent hours looking at every pregger pillow out there, pouring over the reviews…he finally recommended this pillow but I hesitated because of the price point. He always wants to get “the best” whatever the cost. Well, he recently surprised me with the pillow and I have never slept better!
It is great because you sort of just sink into it and it supports your entire body. Also, it keeps you from rolling onto your back (which most doctors recommend) and provides just right amount of pillow cushion-not too full at all. The thread count on the pillow case is also nice and provides a nice smooth texture, not too coarse. The zipper is located on the outside of the pillow case and so it does not rub against your body at all. It is just the best pillow ever and I am sure I will use it with the next baby and also in between pregnancies!

I was hesitant about buying this particular pillow because there weren’t a lot of reviews on it. I had come upon a message board where the ladies swore by this pillow and because the other maternity/body pillows had some mixed reviews, I threw caution into the wind and tried this one.

Am I ever glad I did! This pillow is AMAZING. I’m 5’9″ and was worried about it not being comfortable but there is no issue. It supports both the back, head and sides. You can roll over without experiencing the usual pregnancy aches and pains. I can pull my knee up and get support. From the first night I had it I can see a difference in how deeply I slept. It literally is like sleeping on a cloud. I love it!

PS: Be careful, your husband/boyfriend/partner may try to get their hands on it too! LOL. My poor husband keeps looking at it so we had to have a “talk.” ;o)

Seroiusly though, I would definitely recommend this pillow to anyone, especially pregnant women.

My husband got me this body pillow for my birthday in June. I am now a little over 6 months pregnant with twins and started experiencing sleep deprivation ever since my 4th month. I did all the research, told him about it and he ordered it. Sure it’s a bit pricey, but it beats having to put a bunch of pillows around you. I love this pillow and I call it my cocoon. I cuddle with it and sleep through most nights, I still have some nights where I can’t sleep but that has nothing to do with the pillow, it’s because my ribcage have started hurting. I love the fact that I can lay on one side and if I want to turn to my other side, I just turn and there is the other side of the pillow, I don’t have to worry about taking a pillow and turning it with me. The pillow doesn’t get hot at all through the night and putting it between my knees takes the pressure off from my back and eases my hip pains. I would definitely recommend this item!!

I got this pillow by the end of my first trimester…it is so cozy and soft, I love it! but I can’t cuddle with my husband, beware! your husband won’t like this pillow especially if your bed is queen size like ours. it takes almost half of the bed. I wish the product had instructions too so you can take full advantage of its functionality.

I bought this pregnancy pillow for my daughter-in-law, who is 4 1/2 months pregnant. She told me after sleeping with it that that was the first night she had been able to sleep through the night for quite a while. She started showing the pregnancy early. She was thrilled and ecstatic with this gift–it was her birthday present!

This pillow has provided me with the support needed during my pregnancy. I bought it in my second trimester and I have used it almost every night. We call it my cocoon. The only downfall was not so much cuddle time with the hubby. With the Relaxin my hips didn’t hurt nearly as much. This was the best purchase I have made since my pregnancy.

Truly excellent idea for back pain. I spent MANY $$$ on back pain relief. This worked fantastic for about a month. Then the curved part of the pillow began to flatten out. This pillow consists of three parts. I simply removed the curved part and replaced it with a king size down alternative pillow. Fits fairly well, a bit lumpy. Still releives pain. A cost effective alternative would be to buy a pillow case with this shape and fill it with pillows of your choosing. Be sure it is made well as the zipper will have a bit of stress. Shape definitely works but filler is unsatisfactory.
