Leachco Snoogle Loop Contoured Fit Body Pillow, Ivory Product Reviews
I bought this pillow to make the transition to sleeping only on my side easier when I became pregnant. It is a wonderful pillow–except the area where your neck goes is very uncomfortable!
The seam of the inside curve on both ends is sewn while pulled very tightly, so when I position my head on top, this tight seam digs into my shoulder. I have tried to ease it by pushing it up against the headboard, or making sure the whole pillow wasn’t held taut, or draping it with an extra pillowcase, but nothing I do has helped. I wake up with a sore shoulder, which stinks because I love the rest of the pillow! I’m going to see if it’s returnable, and I’m going to try the one shaped like a “6″, and use my own pillow for my head. Oh well!

I really like this pillow. I can’t sleep on one side for the whole night so I was looking for a pregnancy pillow that didn’t need to be re-adjusted every time I turn over. This pillow supports my back and my hips. The only down side is it doesn’t really support my belly all that well. I have to use another pillow for that.

I bought this when I was 19 weeks pregnant after a friend recommended it. I’m now 23 weeks, and I don’t think I could sleep without it! It completely alleviated the back pain I was starting to feel while sleeping. I was using five pillows wedged around me to sleep, and I would constantly have to readjust them during the night. Now, this is the only pillow I use, and it stays put. My friend that made the recommendation bought the original Snoogle that doesn’t loop all the way around. She said if she had to do over again, she would get this one instead. I agree. This one gives back and belly support, and doesn’t need to be readjusted if you turn over. I originally thought this was too expensive for a pillow, but it’s worth every penny.

Overall, this is a great pillow and I highly recommend it.
Gives support from head to toe (I’m 5’5″ and sleep with knees slightly bent; my top foot stays elevated with this pillow) — most others on the market are too short to do that. Provides back support, and prevents me from rolling on my back when I sleep (which was a big concern). It’s a little firm – but you’re sleeping on your side, so you want your neck supported. The c-shape also makes it easier to get in/out of bed than if it didn’t have the opening in the middle (ie, I don’t have to climb over it). It’s not even as big as I’d expected – in fact, my hubby and dogs still fit comfortably with me in our king-sized bed, with room to spare.
Two minor drawbacks were already mentioned in other reviews – both have to do with the cover. First, the fabric is a little scratchy (feels like a cotton/poly blend). Second, the inside seams are pulled too tight, so you have to adjust sleeping positions (in order not to have it dig into your neck). I’ll probably just end up making myself a new slipcover with softer fabric, and adjusting the seams to allow a little more give/room.

I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and all the symptoms I had when I was pregnant with #1 came on earlier and stronger. I started having sleep issues around 5 months but didn’t buy this until I was 7 months. Why oh why did I wait??? This pillow has helped me with carpal tunnel (my hands have not gone numb since I started sleeping with it), lower back issues, and sore hips to mention a few of my ailments. Before I bought this pillow I was waking up every night but now, more often than not, I sleep through the night. Most of my discomforts have diminished or at the very least have become more manageable since buying this pillow. I can even sleep on my back if I prop myself up using a regular pillow along with the Snoogle. Downside to this pillow is that it takes up a lot of room and the fabric is not as soft as my pillow cases. So if you’re sleeping with a partner space might get tight. My husband had already moved himself to the couch to give me space and to escape my restlessness. I definitely recommend this pillow to pregnant women who are experiencing discomfort while sleeping. Hopefully the effects of the pillow will last through the rest of my pregnancy.

I would have given this product a 5 star rating, however it is a bit big for my 5’2″ frame and it takes up about 1/3 of our queen size bed! This is my 1st pregnancy and I can tell you that it has greatly helped with my back pain, is definitely comfortable and encourages you to sleep on your side! No more snuggling with the hubby however- your snoogle will be your snuggle buddy from the point it gets in your bed and it is so worth it! I’ve slept so much better since getting My Snoogle loop! Very happy i purchased this product when i did!

I haven’t tried any others, but this body pillow is great! It can provide great leg support from hip to ankle, depending on how you position it, or you can just elevate your legs. I’m 6 months pregnant, and couldn’t be without this thing. I went out of town recently, and tried to simulate the Snuggle Loop with 5 pillows! (the loop is better) It is also nice because by elevating the top of it quite a bit, I can nearly sleep on my back in perfect comfort. I did read about how some people felt the seam that goes under your shoulder is really tight and could cut into you a bit, and I agree with that, but I just put a pillow vertically over the upper neck of the loop, and it works just fine for me. That way it keeps my upper body a little bit more elevated, and that’s a good thing. Also, the thicker part on the closed side is a little too stuffed to rest my belly on, but it provides good arm and leg support. In summary, the Snuggle Loop creates a lovely little nest, and I would recommend this pillow!

It kills me to pay $65 for a pillow, but I admit it’s worth it. I’m 5 months pregnant and I was only comfortable on my side, but after a couple hours my hips would start to kill me as if I was sleeping on a hard floor. I tried a pillow between the knees but it didn’t help. I tried propping myself up but that didn’t help either. I finally ordered this and it has made a huge difference. They really do need to create a cover for this as mine is now covered in cat hair. And I wouldn’t recommend it for hot nights as it stays pretty toasty. Should be great for fall/winter though. I’m completely glad I got this and would recommend it to any pregnant person. It doesn’t take up that much room in our queen size bed either.

I used regular pillows with my first pregnancy and after that nightmare, opted for a fancy maternity pillow for this one. Much more comfortable then sleeping in bed without any back or leg support. I get pain in my back and hips from sleeping on my side and this pillow has definately helped. I can sleep comfortably on one side for about 1/2 the night before needing to adjust. My only complaint is that I feel “stuck” in one position with this pillow – God forbid I need to change sides halfway through the night. My poor family is awakened every night by a good 5 minute bout of pillow wrestling which has become a WWE style event, involving lots of flailing and cursing as I try to contort back into a comfortable position. I bet could give Michelle McCool a run for her money with some of moves I’ve learned!

This pillow is huge – even in a king size bed. While it can be very confortable, I didn’t like it – particularly because (1) I wanted to use my own pillow under my head – which means I’m laying on outside of hudge pillow; and (2) when pregnant and needing to go to bathroom every couple hours, I felt like I had to wrestle or leapfrog a barrier to get out of bed each time. I found I preferred the below pillow – although it is not perfect either (since it is smaller and doesn’t necessarily stay in good position all night).
