I hesitated to buy a $100 pillow for pregnancy. But I’m not a side sleeper, so I was having real problems sleeping by about 16 weeks. Every time I turned over, I’d have to re-adjust all my pillows. So I took the plunge. This pillow has fulfilled all of my expectations and then some (I’m now 34 weeks, so have used it for almost 5 months). I’m a pillow snob too (I have ‘my’ pillows that I have trouble sleeping without), and this pillow is the perfect combination of soft and supportive. Also, a couple reviews said it was for ‘large’ people, which worried me, but I personally haven’t found this to be the case (I’m slender and 5’7″, and then there is the pregnancy bump of course!)
I chose this pillow because I wanted a ‘horsehoe’ pillow that went down both sides of my body, as the doctor said I could half-lie on my back as long as I had pillows propping me at an angle. This is why I chose this pillow over the other pregnancy pillows that only go on one side of your body, and I’m SO GLAD i did. I cannot imagine having to move a huge pillow from side to side every time you roll over. Added to that, with this pillow I can lay on my side and curl around it with the front of my body, then also lean back a little with the pillow behind me to get a bit of a different position. The pillow is always there no matter how I shift positions! I tried to sleep without it for one night when I was staying at my mom’s, and my hips had sharp, shooting pains and I barely slept. Yes, it is that dramatic!
Some people have commented on the size – it is a big pillow. I have actually slept with it in a single, queen and king sized bed, as I learned I can’t sleep without it and so took it with me when I traveled (in a huge duffel bag – again, I love this pillow). In a king-sized bed, my husband has plenty of room and there is no problem whatsoever. In a queen bed, there is a bit less room, but my husband didn’t complain, especially because he can curl up to the outside of it as well. It even worked with me alone in a single bed! I guess the one downside is you can’t cuddle with your partner (my husband calls it my ‘nest’), and I do miss that, but honestly, I’m up and turning and going to the bathroom so much that it would keep him up anyway!
The only downside I could think of is that the stitching in the zipper seam of the pillow case frayed a lot with the first wash. After that, I was worried that the pillowcase would soon fall apart, but it hasn’t (it’s had about a dozen washes now). I now just make sure to zip the zipper closed when I wash it, and that works to prevent the fraying.
By the way, this is my first Amazon review, though I’ve purchased many products. I just have heard a lot of women in my prenatal classes complaining about sleep, so I wanted to share how well this pillow worked for me.

I do not know if I can stress enough how much I LOVE this pillow. This is my fourth pregnancy and I have tried a lot of different products out there. With my third pregnancy, I even invested in one of those pregnancy blow up beds with the hole in the center for your belly and spent 5 months sleeping on the floor in front of my bed-ugh! Okay on to the Comfort-U total body pillow. What I love about it is it has just the right amount of firmness and softness to support your head, your legs, your belly or whatever you want to prop up or lay on. I do not need to use any other pillows with this while I am sleeping. I do use my regular pillow to prop me up more when I sit up and watch television, but do not need it to sleep. Let me say, I am a pillow snob-take my pillow with me on vacations, to visit family, etc…because I like a nice mushy pillow. This was my problem with the other
body pillows; they were either too firm or too flat and I still had a fort of pillows in the bed. This pillow is just right. The pillow is big, so if you are in a bed smaller than a queen (I am in a king) you may find it too big for the bed if you share it with someone else. I must say I have caught my husband snuggling up against it, so it is large but it’s soft and not intrusive. I was skeptical on spending the money for this, but boy am I glad I did. I read other reviews that said the same thing I am saying and I am so happy I listened. This pillow is really great.

I’m 7 months pregnant and from reading books, they said it is best for me to lie on my sides, but I’m so used to sleep on my back that most of the times I woke up found myself in my normal position instead of on one of the sides so i was looking for a pillow that not only helps me to sleep on my side but also provide support for my legs. When I saw the picture of this pillow I said this is perfect for me so I bought it. I didn’t know this already comes with the pillow case cover so I did ordered an extra one which I might have to return. The first night I used the pillow, it felt uncomfortable at first because it is big, takes up almost half of the bed!, and bulky. Also, getting in and out of bed was a little hard. However by the second nights and on… I slept like a baby and I actually slept on my sides!!! Just remember to put the pillow case on with the zipper facing out and not facing your body, and just flip up one of the pillow sides when you need to get out of bed.

Well worth it, should have bought it sooner, makes it easier to sleep on your sides comfortably even if you are a back sleeper, can mold into any position. I got it after not sleeping through the night and leg cramps and back pain, now I can sleep through the night. Well worth the price! Is a little tight in a queen size bed, but wonderful in a king size! A good way to test if it is right for you is to take a whole bunch of pillows and line them up in the U shape and sleep in as picture shows, you will notice a difference and the pillow is even more supportive.

Love, love, love this pillow. I am not pregnant, I just have back issues. This pillow is very supportive. I use my regular pillow and just flip this body pillow around and it works fantastic for me. I’ve had it for a month now, and it feels just as good as the first day I got it.

I researched a ton of pillows before finally deciding to spend the extra $40 and getting this one. This pillow is great! I was a stomach sleeper through and through before I got pregnant and even up till 3 months, I would find myself accidentally on my belly since that was the only way I would get sound sleep. Positioning pillows all around me didn’t have the same effect since most pillows are pretty flat. After investing in this pillow, I can sleep very comfortably and naturally on either side and sleep through the night (if I don’t need a bathroom break). This pillow is not overly firm and can be positioned easily. I don’t use another pillow underneath it since it’s completely as supportive as I want it to be. I like that both the arms of the pillow are well-filled and can be hugged and squished however and wherever I may need support. The pillow is large and not recommended for anyone with a full-sized bed sharing with significant other. I have a queen bed and my husband is a side-sleeper and doesn’t move much. If you are a cuddle sleeper, this may be a little challenging since you’ll have to move one of the arms out of the way to connect with your partner. The cover is soft, good quality, and unzips fully so there’s no need to struggle with taking it off to wash or putting it back on. Also, the pillow does not really retain heat which was important for me as I go through periods of hot and cold while sleeping. I’m going to be away for a month and am seriously contemplating purchasing another one of these for the trip. It was worth the extra “upgrade” from the other pillows out there.

I bought this pillow for after breast reduction surgery – it has been the best purchase I could have made! The pillow can be used on the couch, the bed, anywhere I needed to sit or lay down it kept me stable and comfortable. It also kept me on my back (which was imperative after my kind of surgery), even though I have always been a side sleeper. Even my kids love this pillow! It is well worth the money!

I found this pillow was too large to really curl up into, while receiving the much needed support. I tried using it as a pregnancy pillow – but the bulk was too large to support my belly and back. It worked o.k. for between my legs and supported my head (although a bit too firm for my taste). The price is really outrageous, I would not recommend purchasing unless you can really try it out first. It will not work well if you are small or petite (even if you are 9 months pregnant). Buyers beware.

Read that one of the pregnancy essentials was a great sleep pillow. I picked this one b/c it seemed to provide all around support (I have an achy back w/o a baby growing inside of me) and it comes with the pillowcase (important when you’re already shelling out $100). It’s been pretty good! My husband was on nights so we were on different sleep schedules so he took the opportunity to use it for himself…and after about a week said he needed his own for when he went back on day-shifts and went back to sleeping at the same time as me.

I will say that a queen-sized bed is quite tight w/the two body pillows in it but we manage. I prefer to sleep on my back so the long-length has been great to pull up against my back for when I start to roll back onto my back.
CONS: I’ve noticed that sometimes I wake up with a pretty bad headache; I think it’s the angle that I’m sleeping at. I’ve noticed that with keeping the “U” at my head, my head sinks down and my shoulders tend to naturally tense up…I’ve since swapped to having the “U” by my feet and using my standard pillow for my head….has worked out well although the back-side support moves out of place easier now.
All in all, I’d recommend…and get one for your spouse if you’ve got the space.

I knew that I wanted a pregnancy sleep pillow, but was not sure which one to purchase. The price on this is about middle range and it was a GREAT choice. The size is huge, I have a king bed, so it was not a problem, but still took up more than my “half” of the bed. Would take up a full/double with just you and the pillow. A queen bed with you, the pillow, and hubby would be very tight…expect him to sleep somewhere else some nights! The pillow does bunch up in some areas but was ok for use through almost 6 months of pregnancy. I got it at about 4 months, and used it until the end.
The case is soft and zips nicely around. White is nice in case you need to bleach it. The pillow makes sleeping so much nicer without having to contort 4 bed pillow around you and then fix them after you get up to pee. It is not the easist to get out of bed with, but I managed. You can sleep on it with either side up. It is supportive to a pregnant body without being to obtrusive.
I was afraid to sleep flat on my back, so this did the trick. I could lay flat on my back, but contort the pillow beneath me to tilt my uterus to one side or the other. My dog also loved to snuggle up in the pillow with me. It is also a nice barrier when you do not want your hubby all up on you!
Overall, I would not spend money for a nicer pillow, this one was perfect and I will be using it for my next baby.
