I bought this pillow after reading extensive reviews of other Snoogles. I specifically wanted the “easy” zip-on/off cover, even though it’s not the most attractive pattern I’ve seen.

Pros:
- The cover was indeed pretty easy to put on.
- The pillow supports me well, though I suspect I will also need a small wedge under my belly as I move into the third trimester. I can use it with my back to either side, depending on my mood/ desires for support.
- It’s big, but not too big for a couple in a queen bed. My husband even likes to snuggle up to the back of it.

Cons:
- The cover is too tight in one place — at the inside edge of the top curly-q. Others have commented on this in other Snoogle reviews. What this means is that there is a taut, hard seam on that inner edge, and it could easily dig into your neck or shoulder depending on how you sleep on the pillow. I tried to massage the pillow around to distribute the filling differently, but it didn’t help. And it just gets worse with use, it seems. I think the cover is just too short there. I don’t think I could relieve the tension just by restitching the seam — I’d probably have to lengthen the cover with an insert there.
- The material is not very soft. It’s not bad, but it’s not great, either, and requires careful washing in cold water and drying on super-low heat, if at any at all.

Overall, I sleep much better with this thing, so I give it 4 stars. But that darn seam is very frustrating!

EDITED TO ADD: The cover pills like mad after only a few washings!

This is the first review I’ve written in Amazon. I’ve found that as an expectant mommy the reviews that other customers post is extremely helpful in finding items for the baby. So, why not give back and help someone else out in the process.

I never thought I would ever have a need for a pregnancy pillow until I hit my fourth month of pregnancy. I researched several brands and pillow types for over a month and finally settled on this one. It is a great size in our queen sized bed and fits my 5’1″ frame. I also have a place to comfortably rest my free arm as well when I’m sleeping on my side. The first night I used it was the first night of complete, restful sleep in a month. I also use this pillow when I’m sitting on the couch as sort of a head/arm rest. It’s wonderful.

True, the casing smells a bit funny when it first arrives, but a quick wash and it’s just fine. I read a lot of reviews regarding the zipper and non-zipper issues. The zippered cover is definitely the route to go. It makes it very easy to put remove and put the case back on.

This a great purchase that has made my nights much more bearable.

I bought the snoogle on several recommendations form other friends who have been pregnant, but I really disliked it. I found it to be overstuffed so it was not comfortable to rest my belly or my head on – in fact the 2 nights I used it for, I woke up more sore and achey than before I had the pillow. It was very hard to switch sides or get out of bed during the night. I returned it and have been using a home-grown system since, which has worked perfectly. A bolster under my hip/to support my back, as small throw pillow under my belly and a kind-size pillor between my legs. Save your self the money and try this first!

I am currently almost 5 months pregnant and I purchased the Snoogle at about 4 months. It truly has helped me with the back pain that I was having already. I believe the thickness of the pillow to be the key for relieving my back pain. I have tried sleeping with regular pillows between my knees and never had any success. I can’t speak yet for this pillow in terms of offering support for my belly as I am not yet large enough for the pillow to do anything. My only issue is that this pillow is one-size-fits-all with no length options. I am not quite 5’4″ and the pillow is a little long for me and I do have to curl it around me a little to get it adjusted. All together though, despite the high price for a pillow, I love the Snoogle.

I love my snoogle! I was having a hard time getting comfortable and staying asleep as my pregnancy progressed but with the snoogle I can get comfortable and stay that way for a long time. I do tend to wake up when you need to roll over because of the position of your legs but I fall right back asleep after re positioning. It also helps me to not roll onto my back (which doctors advise against beyond a certain point in pregnancy) so I consider that an added bonus.
Note that the snoogle can’t really be used in conjunction with a normal pillow because it curves around your body, so if you rely on a ergonomic neck support pillow this will take some getting used to but with all the aches and pains of pregnancy I think it is worth it.
I also didn’t have any problems with the cover being rough or scratchy like other reviewers have mentioned.
I think this is a great product for pregnant women.

Thanks to this pillow, I can sleep comfortably. It works for either right or left side sleeping and I can even elevate my knees and rest on my back for a while. The pillow has stayed firm and, although it is rather large, it is well worth it!

I got the Snoogle 3 weeks ago when I was 26 weeks. I was having back aches every day, had trouble sleeping and would catch myself always waking up on my back, which I was trying to avoid due to the safety advisories that the heavy belly would more and more heavily press onto vital organs.

The Snoogle exceeded all expectations. The first couple of nights where a little awkward. The pillow seemed too “high” up and I wasn’t sure how to arrange myself with it.

But it got more and more comfortable already after 2-3 nights. It flattened out just a little bit so that it doesn’t prop my leg and head up too high and my body got used to the positions.

It’s now a gift from heaven. My backaches have gone completely, I enjoy lying sideways and look forward to going to bed every night. When I have trouble sleeping, at least I’m comfortable so I don’t mind. I just read a book for 30 mins or so being cozy in my Snoogle when my little one starts dancing in the middle of the night.

I use the pillow in both sideways positions – with the closed side in front of me and curled behind me. I still sometimes wake up lying on my back but overall it doesn’t seem to be a problem anymore.

This really worked for me and I recommend women with similar issues to give it a try. Don’t toss it out when it doesn’t feel great the first night. The pillow and your body need to adjust! Stick to it for 2-3 nights and it might just be a lifesaver for you too….

BTW: the disappearance of my backache it truly miraculous to me. I had a herniated disk a couple of years back, continuously struggle with back pain so I was expecting to suffer pain at least throughout my later pregnancy. I am so thrilled that the Snoogle has completely eliminated this for now. I will probably continue to use it after my pregnancy since my back responds so well to it…..

i was so excited when i received the snoogle. My back had been killing me and i was looking forward to waking up without pain. Unfortunately, when i woke up the pain was worse than it had been in the past. I figured i didn’t use it right or wasn’t used to it so i gave it another week. I still woke up with back pain. I have decided to just a myriad of pillows which work just fine.

i purchased this item for my pregnant wife. she loves it and it is the only pillow she uses anymore. the pillow is firm enough all over to have the support you need and soft enough for your head to comfortably lay. it is big and takes up a lot of space but much better than always moving around pillows trying to get the same thing. my wife sleeps much better and moves around much less since we got this pillow. the pillow is overpriced but i would still recommend it to those looking for pregnancy pillows.
