Our distinctive tonic is made with the pure delicate essence of the Rosa Damascena petal to inspire, soothe, and beautify.
To create this exquisite water, pure Rosa Damascena petals are distilled using the classic age-old method of steam distillation. C.O. Bigelow continues to carry out the apothecary rose tradition by bringing to you our triple rosewater that make a difference in the way you look and feel.
Apothecaries used this rose for its powerful therapeutic properties. Various remedies aided indigestion, sore throats and skin rashes as well as a multitude of other illnesses. It was also believed that the petals would eliminate wrinkles and give a youthful appearance if rubbed on the skin. Since 1938, this time-honored beauty secret has been used in our apothecary. Our chemists have been transforming the precious substances of the rose into therapeutic preparations – creating powders, oils, tonics, lotions, and creams.
Directions for Use: You will delight in the many uses of authentic triple rose water: as a facial freshener and softener or added to bath water to calm skin. For added nourishment and shiner hair, add a few drops to your favorite shampoo and conditioner.
